- UN38.3 — Mandatory UN standard for lithium battery transport safety. Covers altitude simulation, thermal cycling, vibration, shock, external short circuit, impact, overcharge, and forced discharge tests. Required for air, sea, and road transport worldwide.
- MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) — Chemical safety documentation required for dangerous goods shipping. Provided with every order.
- IEC 62133 — International safety standard for portable sealed secondary lithium cells. Required for CE marking in the EU.
- IEC 62619 — Safety requirements for secondary lithium cells and batteries for industrial applications (applies to prismatic cells > 50Ah).
Product Certifications
- CE (Conformité Européenne) — Required for products entering the European Economic Area. All BattSource cells ship with CE compliance documentation.
- UL 1642 / UL 1973 — North American safety standards for lithium cells (UL 1642) and battery systems (UL 1973). Key for US market access.
- RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) — EU directive compliance. All cells certified free of lead, mercury, cadmium, and other restricted substances.
- PSE (Product Safety of Electrical Appliance & Materials) — Japanese market certification. Available for Panasonic and select Japan-market cells.
- ISO 9001:2015 / IATF 16949 — Quality management system certifications held by our manufacturing partners.
